23sep09_atirad58Dopo l'usb 3.0, gli hard disk veloci con nuovo sata, windows 7 in arrivo e processori che arriveranno a 22nm da Intel, ecco la ATI Radeon HD 5870 che riceve l'approvazione e viene lanciata ufficialmente mediante comunicato stampa.

Solo per elencare qualche numero: Processo produttivo a 40nm, 153.6GBps di banda con oltre 2 bilioni di transistor.


Fire Cry 2, giusto per fare un esempio, gira a 152 fps (4x di AA - 1280x800) contro i 66 della GTX285, a 1920x1200 quindi in full HD i frame rimangono 120 contro i 47 di una radeon HD 4890.
